AgTech Delegation to Germany
Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), in cooperation with Saxony Trade and Invest (WFS), enviacon, and the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest are organizing an upcoming delegation which aims to highlight Germany’s industrial strategy and the latest business opportunities in Europe’s largest market.
The delegation will travel to Saxony (Sachsen), Germany’s high-tech location for agricultural technology from Sunday, May 07, 2023, until Friday, May 12, 2023. Saxony Trade and Invest co-creates the visit, supported by the professional expertise of the innovation network Agronym e.V. Brand new agricultural technology and agricultural processes are made possible in Saxony thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Edge Computing and Swarm technology which leads to a new generation of a wide range of products, from single-use technology (combine harvester, harvester-tiller, seed drill) to multi-purpose systems with variable, modular machine systems.
During the visit, participants will have the chance to see the latest developments in agricultural technology by joining a 5G campus tour, a 5G experimental field tour and visiting on-site technology demonstrations. The visits include companies, institutes, and universities. Innovative highlights in Saxony are the Field Swarm Project, the 5G Experimental Field, LANDNETZ and the EXPRESS Experimental Field. A representative of the US company John Deere, which has successfully invested in Germany, will share their practical experiences and successful market development strategies. Further, experts in the field will discuss Saxony’s latest research and developments in the field.
GTAI covers many of the program costs for participants, including hotel accommodations, transportation to all visits within Germany, the facilitation of all meetings, and select meals within the scope of the program. There is no separate program fee. Participants are responsible for their own airfare to and from Germany and for meals that are not part of the official program.
