New Trends & Possibilities with 3D Printing
Whether in design, individualization, lightweight construction, bionics, or iterative product evolution, additive manufacturing pushes the limits of what has been possible so far. When these possibilities meet fascinating new ideas, innovative products are created that have the potential to change our world. Moreover, production processes are scalable and, in some cases, even result in less wasted material. 3D printing offers manufacturers some great new ways to experiment with new designs and explore how to use new types of materials, especially when it comes to prototyping. But besides prototyping applications 3D printing is also capable of entering industrial series production. Integrated into partially or fully automated production environments, 3D production systems are sustainably shifting the economic parameters. Additive manufacturing methods for industrial applications are on their way to disrupt traditional mass manufacturing methods.
